Downhill runs, trails and courses
Trail mix
We have about 20 downhill specific tracks varying from full on DH courses to hour long singletrack descents with super aggressive rocky chutes and switchbacks to uber fast and flowing 4x style runs.
The best thing about the trails here is how empty they are. No queues for the chairlifts, no breaking bumps, no being gunned down by someone faster or held up be someone slower. No fire roads & nothing groomed - just perfect DH tracks.
Some tracks are accessible by chairlift but this is a painfully slow process so we shuttle every track in our LWB Mercedes Sprinters. We will load and unload your bikes and collect you at the bottom of each run. A bike with at least 6" travel front and back is recommended.
On average, depending on mechanicals etc, we will ride about 7-12 runs per day. Obviously the longer the run the fewer shuttles. Total amount of DHing over 4 days = 20,000 to 30,000m (vertical). Total amount of riding up = 0.0m.

Protection Policy:
You must have the minimum of body armour like knee/shin, elbows etc, a full face lid and a safe and properly set up bike.
Our trails are not aimed at beginner level rides. However with a lot of heart and a some skills tuition from your guides we can get you riding most tracks comfortably. Sufficient medical insurance that covers you for mountain biking will also be required.
Example days
This shows an example long weekend itinerary but week and much longer stays are available. Other named tracks include Little Bubion, Happy Days, The 555, Sand Miguel, Super Tweak, Minnaars DH track, Leftism, Wade's World and the Bos Test track etc.
Day 1
The Ridiculator
An absolutely fantastic medium level trail dropping about 800ms in 10mins. A very fast trail filled with small jumps, step ups, the odd medium drop and burms. A purpose cut DH track that feels natural.
Rocadillo
Sandy but punctuated with fixed rock that will spit you out if you are not 100% focussed. A guides favourite that drops you out onto lower Ridiculator.
Day 2
911
Overall probably our customers' favourite track. 20 mins in length dropping through trees, twisting steep singletrack, fast traverses and finally finishes on a very gnarly rock garden that takes you back into the village for coffees or beers. Ride its 3 variations for the rest of the day.
Day 3
SRAM Test Track
The perfect 4 minute race track. RockShox, Santa Cruz, Moorewood, Team Honda (RIP!), GT and BOS Suspensions have all come out to ride and test their bikes with SwitchbacksDH on this trail. 'Nuf said.
Day 4
Montes de Malaga
More high speed drops, doubles, berms all locked in a strange landscape of urban Malaga. A wicked track that takes you through abandoned houses, panaramic city views and motorway underpasses.
